"The only way to get her to be quiet was to take a book everywhere." Diane Hornes, Mother
A small-town girl with big-time dreams, I am a native of Bunkie, LA, who has dreamed of writing since my days in middle school. Now an accomplished writer and a talented editor, I reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex where I share my stories, and my gifts, with readers and writers around the world. If you are ready to take your writing to the next level, then you are in the right place. As a result of what I do, people around the globe have found the courage to confidently share their stories. I provide comprehensive developmental editing services that help others to use their own words and to speak their truths. Who do you know with a story to tell that I can help them write? If it's you, then welcome home.
We have a tendency to write how we talk. Do you struggle to craft your story with clarity and focus?
Welcome to your home away—a place to tell your own story and tell it how you feel it. S. Rénā + Co. specializes in developmental editing that goes beyond the surface of your content to develop the story every writer longs to tell: one that flows.
Imagine writing your final draft and getting it into the hands of a few good friends or professional colleagues, only to find out there are holes in the story or the content is all over the place. If they're not honest, you might celebrate your success and head to the printer. If they are, you may throw it in the trash or file it away for years to come. Before you do either, why not let me take a look?
Put some space between you and your last project and start to live again while your content gets checked for structure. Relax and move on to the next item on your publishing checklist, and let me help you tell your story the way it deserves to be told, doing what brings me joy—looking for holes in the content, pulling out the backstory, and making sure the narrative flows.
Listen, I'm convinced some people don't want to see us happy. They want to see their perception of happiness projected onto us, and that's a load of bull. Free yourself to live the life you want to write about.
What's your story? Are you a survivor? Were you once the underdog? Why not tell it yourself?
Because every coach sees things differently, this is a safe place for the pages of your life to be re-written and chapters to come together again to honor the story you want the world to hear. Recycle the past; your next idea is but one word away. Write it.
There was a time when I knew I wanted to write. I just didn't know what. Sound familiar?
Let's get together and set some goals, start a new prompt, or finish an old one. Go ahead! Treat yourself to a story worth living, then let me help you tell it. Start your next season now. You'll thank yourself later.
Let's spend an hour together to brainstorm and set goals for you to start living your best story now. Choose your day/time to connect. I'll see you on the other side of the page.
Writing a book and afraid it won't be good, won't sell, or won't even get finished?
I've got you covered in my step-by-step go-to guide, "What to Do While Waiting... An Author's Guide to Self-Publishing."
Written with you in mind, many of my clients have successfully navigated through the process of self-publishing confidently (all while I was editing their final files). This manual, which started as a one-page checklist, has helped aspiring authors to easily stay focused on their publication goals, meet their deadlines, and celebrate their journey to becoming self-published.
With the help of my Book Publishing Checklist, Sample Back Cover Synopsis, Sample Book Pitch, and more, you can do it too. Try it for yourself!
Get your free copy now, and I look forward to turning pages with you! Remember, we're not just telling stories; we're writing them well.
